Abstract
More than a million people acquire sexually transmitted infections (STI) every day, while an estimated 500 million new cases of curable STI (gonorrhoea, chlamydia, syphilis and trichomoniasis) occur every year. Untreated sexually transmitted infection in women will result to pelvic inflammatory disease, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility.
In Korea, the ¡¯Korean Treatment Guideline 2016¡¯ has been updated since December 2016; persistent changes in sexually transmitted infection (STI) have been included in the guideline.
